Toddlers in Tune | Percussion Pals | Music Club
Our social skill groups provide a fun and safe atmosphere to learn and practice the skills necessary for social success!
Toddlers in Tune: ages 1 1/2 – 4
A family music-making experience for children with special needs. This small setting allows for learning and practicing the skills needed for successful participation in larger group settings.
During this 8-week program, families focus on a few non-musical goals while introducing families to a variety of motivating and fun music. This group gives ample space and time for children to learn and practice new skills. Parents learn fun ways to take these skills home into their everyday routines. Parents enjoy the music-making as well as connecting with other families!
Percussion Pals: ages 4-18
An exciting program geared for social skill success for children with learning differences. Learning and practicing social skills in a music-making environment provides the right combination of fun, motivation and challenge. Each week, group members participate in a variety of music-making activities and ensembles. These activities are created and implemented to target specific social skills. During the 8-week semester, we utilize a wide variety of instruments, as well as singing, chanting and movement activities. Participants will be placed in groups appropriate to their age and skills. The ultimate goal of Percussion Pals is to make friends while learning how to be a good friend!

“Beth made me a believer in Music Therapy. I have witnessed her take children with very difficult behaviors and successfully bring them in to a cooperative group experience. She has a keen eye for the needs of those in her group and responds to those needs, often before they are apparent to anyone else. I highly recommend Beth as an extremely qualified and effective individual in her field.” -Ryan Mitchell, OTR/L “It has been a pleasure to be both professionally and personally acquainted with Beth Hampshire for over 12 years. She and her staff exemplify the words ethical, professional, creative and adaptable. Her group skills expertise has consistently and immeasurably enriched our social skills program, POP™ Personal Options and Preferences™. Children come to “therapy” knowing that they do not do things as well as others, self-esteem is often fragile at best, and the willingness to engage in unfamiliar tasks can be daunting. Beth and her staff surmount these concerns seamlessly with aplomb, sensitivity, intelligence and caring. Beth and her team not only bring out the best in the children, but also the adults with whom they interact as well. If you are looking for music therapy, look no further than MTS of GA.” -Susan Orloff, OTR/L, Director Children’s Special Services, LLC
